Local Area and Attractions

We are about half a mile from Edinburgh City Bypass, seven miles from Edinburgh Airport, and the city centre where there is much to see and do. You can explore the Old Town and the Georgian New Town, visit the many Art Galleries and Museums, walk down the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle, visit the Whisky Heritage Centre and Camera Obscura, John Knox's house and Holyrood Palace. Royal Yacht Britannia and the Botanic Gardens are also well worth visiting. There are also many superb eating places throughout Edinburgh and there is a good pub and eating place within walking distance from Dunesk Lodge.
